When I mentioned that we would be stopping by to see one of my friends, he asks, WHAT friend? I told him over and over, my friend, you know the ones I've met on the internet.
I love saying that because it really freaks him out just a bit and I like to keep the spark of uneasiness alive every now and then. When we got to her house he says, oh I know her, she's not an internet friend. I told him yes, honey, I met her on the internet and she's very cool!
We've been to Sea World, We are marathon texters and more!
Anyway on the best news of the day!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH my sweet baby Ashleigh! I needed my baby fix and got it. I had to make up some excuse to make Atasha think I was coming to see her but, in all reality, I was coming to get a sweet hug from baby Ashleigh and her sweet kids Christopher and Alyssa.

Aww, you got to see William's future girlfriend! Atasha and her family are just the most good lookingest people for real! That is so sweet that she came by to visit and that you got to hold that little munchkin! I am very jealous!!! I have made some great friends over the internet. So far I have not met any of them in person but we talk on the phone, text, email and that kind of thing. One thing I know for sure is YOU have been the best friend a girl can have :) You have been what I lack from the local "friends" and my sisters. I so cherish the friendship we have developed over the past couple years and I look forward to the future. Okay, let me stop before I get all emotional! ♥ ya!

I have a TON of friends that I've met online. I've met a number of them in person. One of my best friends (and sister by choice) is someone I met online. We talk every day and, when I was in the hell of infertility, she and another internet friend packed up and came to stay with me and take care of me for a week. So, no, you are not the only one.
It does happen—the Internet can bring folk together and interests can blossom into friendships.

I have tons of friends that I've met online. I met my husband online and my best friend as well. Its been 10 years for both and I'm so happy to admit it. Tell your hubby its great to meet people online. You get to know them so much more in depth when you can only chat online or on the phone. :)

I first met friends on the Net through my online bookclub. It was a national bookclub and we had discussion boards on Yahoo. One day I askes who lives near/in Detroit and we should me. I met about 7 people at a restaurant then Border's and we started a face to face bookclub. That was over 5 years ago. We have disbanded due to time constraints and people moving.
Since then I have met Net friends. It is cool how you are e-chatting then meet. We usually scream, laugh and hug.
I would love to meet more of my out of town Net peeps.

girl i met my boyfriend on the internet!! lolol! SO unintentional. i thought it was kind of creepy, too before it happened to me. i met joy via the interweb and then in person & she's awesome!! i also met a former blogger named ace when he played a gig in my then city and he was cool, too! and i met veronica, too when she came to her home town, pittsburgh to visit her fam. if i go to national broadcast journalists convention, i will meet at least 4 bloggers at once. i want to meet losangelista & 1969 sooooo bad b/c i've been following their blogs for at least 2 years now! lol. when i make it to cali we HAVE to get together, tan! and don't let you come to florida! ah shoot! lol
Not alone at all, girl (obviously; look at us!)! I have three other friends who I met online a few years ago and we have talked almost everyday since. We even all got BlackBerries so we could keep in touch on the cheap. We're spread out between upstate NY, VA, and South Africa now, but we will meet up again one day. It's a beautiful thing and no one should feel ashamed because of it!
