This is how it all went down the other day:
Gave my kid the cheerios box, turned on bear in the big blue house,
raced to the bathroom to shower, brush teeth, comb hair, get dressed,
then race to the kitchen to make lunch,
scarf (is that a word?) it down,
scan emails (annoying SPAM stay in a CAN and out my IN box)
trying to get things done all before the
credits roll up on the screen and
my kid is on a mission to tear up the house again!!!!!
Yes people that's how I get it done sometimes! How do you get things done?
Please!!!! no lectures on Kids and TV... LOL

Sounds right to me and yes, I consider scarf a word. Rhymes with barf which is what happens if you scarf to fast.
No lectures from me. I do some monitoring on time and content but other than that, I let them watch.
Oh to have a child who watches TV! My son has just started paying attention to kid`s TV which has been a total blessing but it only lasts for about 5 minutes! I have yet to find an efficient way to get things done. Most of my j-friends put their kids on a sling on their backs but my son is WAY too heavy and active to be doing that!

Let's see, a package of fruit snacks, a cheese stick, and a glass of milk or juice will usually get me 5 minutes. Unless I give them that snack in front of Power Rangers, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Kim Possible, or Dora. Then I have a half an hour :)
lol yup sounds like what we do too...Dora the Explorer keeps my daughter company while I shower....not sure how the heck else one could shower!
absolutely whatever works. because waiting to shower until naptime is always a really bad way to go for me!
Holymama-I love the 'advice' sleep when your baby's sleeping. YEAH right. LOL
I do the same thing - tv. No snacks, there's no telling where I'll find them (think inside his nose), but Brother Bear or Dora the Explorer, and Cody turns into a couch potato.
One word DORA
Thank goodness for the TV - how would we get the most basic things done without it!
