A tangled Web

Look who has decided to weave a tangled web in front of my house.

Should I be afraid?

Please! tell me what kind of spider this is.

Oh my GOD that is a HUGE spider! I'm freaked out just looking at it on the computer screen! YIKES!!

There was another blog I read that had the same problem with the same spider....they are in Virginia

That is a BIG spider! Just be glad DJ isn`t into insect collecting yet, the little boy next door to us has a collection of large beetles that live under the windows in the front of their apartment.. I am dreading the day that Joey gets into that kind of thing!!!

It's not a black widow and it's not a brown recluse. There are no other poisonous spiders in the USA (although some will bite).

Around here we call them Jacob's Ladder spiders. Harmless to humans, but they'll eat quite a few insects for you.

We have a ton of them in our yard--the boys love them. You can almost watch them grow from day to day.

Oh DUDE!!!! That is one freaky looking spider ..... *shivers* I had the Black Widows at our apartment YUCK thank goodness for Pest Control!!!!

I was reading over the list of critters that spider eats. Humans are not on the list but mosquitos are. I believe I'd build the spider its own little palace

ewww! yuk! ahhh! i hate spiiiiders! There is only one thing i fear in life and it's those things, nasty!

But I almost agree with Granny, kuz I'm allergic to mosquitos...

Hubby looked at this spider and said he always heard them called "Banana Spiders" but what he would call it is a "Dead Spider"...lmbo
