Conversations with a toddler

DJ and I were driving home from the store and he said: "My daddy home"

I almost crashed the car! I couldn't believe my ears. It was so clear.

His face looked very serious and very sure of himself at the same time.

This is going to be a very interesting 6 months, 26 days, 1 hour, 55 mins, 15 seconds.

Not that I'm counting or anything--I'm just sayin' ;)

Don't worry, I pulled over before I took this photo!

You must be in San Diego. I was watching the news yesterday and I was instantly reminded of your DH being deployed when they said 200++ troops from Camp Pendleton were leaving.

You're in my thoughts!!!

You made my day buy commenting on my blog. Why is it that we as moms are so thrilled with the smallest acts of kindness...thanks for making my day. I look forward to reading about your life as well. What a cute little boy you have!

What a clear sentence. Like he was pondering on how to say it just right!

You are a stronger woman than I am. I think I would have had to pull over. What a sweet, tiny treasure you have. I hope your husband comes home safe and sound and that the days fly by like minutes.

ok i can see it normal in firefox now only the counter is at the top of the page blocking part of the title but it's okay. This is much better than having the videos all over the page. Leave it alone before you go and delete the whole blog by accident. :-)

They know.

My 14 month old knows when Daddy's gone. She'll run into our room, yelling "Dahyeee! Dahyeee!" And I when I tell her Daddy's gone, she'll sometimes cry.

And mine is only gone for several days at time. Shit.

That's a fun picture, he looks so cool. Is that a diaper on Elmo?

Wow! I am so impressed. Gavin can't say squat LOL. It is sad though. I bet he misses his Dad like nuts.
