I need to purchase a new digital camera. I need suggestions. What kind of camera do you own? What do you like or dislike about your camera?
This is what I currently own but, Darrin's taking it to Iraq with him.
p.s. if you have this camera, do you LOVE or HATE it?

We have an old sony cyber shot.
Totally love the colours that it creates but I drool over the up scale canons!
Nikon D70. There are no other alternatives (for me personally). You MUST have it. I abuse mine to the extreme, but it keeps working like new. And most importantly, it never fails to impress with the results. Amazing camera. Really.
Hey girlie.
I got a great camera.
I love it any how.
Its a Fuji Film Camera my dad got me a year ago. It takes beautiful photos and is sooo easy to use.

That page tells all about it
If the link doesnt work just go to my Fina Drea blog and theres a pink link under my profile picture that says "my camera"
Hope that helps!
Never buy from a store ;-)
I always find better deals online.
I have one of the Canons as well- I love it because I get great pictures, very quick shots(my former minolta and olympus digital cameras took forever!), and its so small I can easily fit it in a pocket. There's lots of great ones out there- good luck shopping!
I have a Canon as well, and love it. Canon 20D. It's easy to learn, plus it has a lot of different options. Try bhphoto.com. I've had good luck with them.
I had the Canon Powershot A300 that I got a few yrs ago until my son broke it. Plus although it took wonderful pictures, it didn't have enough zoom for me. It was only 5.1X. It was somewhat small for me atleast, I love larger cameras. Makes me feel like I'm a photographer of some sort :-)
So the one that you took that award winning photo with is a Kodak P850. It has a 12X zoom and I think I may buy some toys for it. I'm already eyeing a wide angle lens and Zoom flash. Oh the joys! Hey girls can have toys too!
Good Luck. camera buying is serious business
I have a Fuji F650. LOVE it
I have my new canon that I told you about... A620:
I have a Canon PowerShot A620: *heavenly choir sings*
-First and foremost, it's 7.2 magapixels (oh god, drool...)
-It's got 16x zoom (4x digital 4x optical: the digital you arent going to care about because it ruins the pixels, optical is great because it doesn't make the picture look funky)
-If you want to take good motion shots, this is the best. It takes shots at 1/2500ths of a second (*drool*)
-The lens has a great macro focusing mode. Pictures come out incredibly clear on that mode...
-It's got countless shooting modes. I've had the camera for three months and every weekend I find a new way to shoot a picture. It has a 'My Colors' mode which basically takes the color of whatever you want in the shot and leaves everything else black and white (like my flower shot in my blog)...
-It's got a Digic 2 processor that performs high speed image-processing computatations... which basically means it processes and shoots pictures at a faster speed and your pictures are going to come out clearer than on a non-Canon camera.
-It uses a High-speed 2.0 USB cord to upload pictures, so you don't have to use any special program to get your pics off the memory card (SD/MMC Flash)
-It's got a 2in LCD screen that tilts and swivels (*drool*), which is great if you're trying to take artistic shots and need to see what you're shooting...
-It's battery life is INCREDIBLE. I have never gotten so many pics on one set of batteries out of a camera before...
Canon is freaking awesome... The only 'bad' thing I would have to say about this camera is getting used to the bulkiness. I had a much smaller camera before... so it took me awhile to get used to the new feel, other than that, it's a great camera and you can't beat the price for 7 megapixels. Anyway here's a link if you wanna know more: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canona620/
thanks everyone for your suggestions. wow! there's some really great info here. i'm taking some time off to clear my head and get things together. i wont' be gone too long :) thanks again.
I'll second meljoy's recommendation of the Canon Powershot A620. For a point-and-shoot, this thing takes spectacular photos. And it's only around $200. In a better world, I'd get a Canon Rebel XT, but they go for around $700. For now, the A620 is making me very happy. See some of my photos here.
