Open letter to the hourly daycare on base!

Thank you for overbooking your childcare providers thus not making it possible
for me to leave my son in your care today. I made my appointment last month and was very disappointed to be turned away today.

Well, since I didn't have a lot of time to stand there and YELL at your
receptionist for screwing my whole day up, I was forced to take my son to my doctor's appointment with me.

Well, it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have a PAP smear! Yeah, can you picture
it? My son in his stroller looking at his momma wide eagle and well.......never mind. I'm sure you care!

Oh and just in case you're wondering? He had a great time. The doctor gave him
a blue glove and tonsil stick to distract him.

If he should happen to say Pap Smear on the first day of school please note, I
will be making a personal visit to your place of business.

Thanks anyway.

*And before anyone asks me why didn't I call someone to help me, well, i've tried that before, it doesn't work. I've come to the realization that people say: Call me if you need anything just out of courtesy, you know, being nice. They really don't mean it. Can anyone tell I'm in a nice mood this week again*

Woo-hoo!! Got love having the toddler with you for the yearly OB/GYN appointment!!!

Well, if you lived in the south bay - I'd tell you to drop your little guy off here if you needed to. I bet he'd have a great time playing and what's one more, right??!

Funny I should say that. Remember the church sermon we went to that caused my husband to, uh, throw his back out from "cleaning"? I think that was the hand of GOD coming down from Heaven ... because from that ONE singular "event" ... our fourth child is due in June of 2007.

In three weeks, I get to take all three of our toddlers to my OB/GYN appointment and ultrasound. Don't worry, I'll bring my camera to document the event and there will be pictures on the blog.

AS IF!

Hope your week gets better! :)

If you lived nearby and I wasn`t in class at the time I would totally take DJ while you went to the doctor`s because he and Joey would have a blast and I could just sit back and watch them play! LOL!

It sucks that your daycare place is incompetent, what would you have done if you had an appointment somewhere where you totally couldn`t take your child with you!?! They need to get their arses in gear!!

Well I know how hard that is because I've had to take both of these kids to the OB/GYn with me. Christopher was also with me on every prenatal visit when I was pregnant with Alyssa. It's not an easy thing to do. These kids grow impatient fast. But the nurses and doctors understand and they try their best to help.

Sorry I am not living closer. You know the rest and how that goes. Feel better(mood-wise) soon!

It's no consolation to you, but with my 3 wild ones i would not have noticed a 4th...I had to take the smallest to an MRI with me and THAT was a 3 nightmare event that I will never repeat!

Hey, when I offer to help I really mean it. And I've had people take me up on my offers, too, so I've had a chance to prove myself more than once. Too bad you don't live a bit closer!

They didn't blow the glove up for him and draw a face on it?

Oh. My. God. The utter incompetence. The Beeaach. It is a good thing it wasn't me. I probably would have burnt a bridge.

I know what you mean when you say people don't seem to be available after they offer. When I was a single mom that happened to me frequently. I vowed never to do that to someone else. I am sorry that happened to you. You are a terrific mom. Keep your head up!
