The tip was:
To muffle the LOUD sounds from your kids toys, cover the mic with Duct Tape!
Ok people, no need to thank me, go get some duct tape and get to muffling! LOL

I want to say you're an evil woman for doing so but I simply remove the batteries when they are not looking and lie and tell them it's broken. I know shame on me.
I've removed a battery or two myself.
Once upon a time we had 3 tickleme Elmo's AND 3 rock and roll Elmo's. It wouldn't have been so bad if they all started at the same time but they didn't. It was one slightly behind the next behind the next...
I love, love, LOVE this tip! I actually went out and bought packing tape, because it's clear and Ben didn't get as upset (when he noticed it).
another way is take out the battries lol, have a wonderful christmas and new year
