Fighting the Frumpies one day at a time!

I've been browsing quite a few blogs lately and can't recall which blog mentioned frumpiness.

The blog went on to say something to the fact that just because you're a stay at home, you don't need to look like one. Look like one? What does a SAHM look like?

It went on to explain it--
You know, the frumpy-type. OMG is right. The blog had a few links on it and before I knew it, I lost my place and couldn't find the ORIGINAL blog.

One blog shows a woman who dresses up everyday and takes a self portrait. She even described how and where she saves on clothes and I have to tell you, she looked fabulous. A Diva on a budget. Now if only I can find her blog! Oh well....

Well, that blog got me to thinking--Am I frumpy? Probably sometimes. It's so much easier to just throw on a tshirt and sweats to roll out to playgroup, running errands or any daily activities.

I'm going to make an honest effort to look less frumpier. I want to look more fashionable. I even took a visit to this store with my daughter and once I saw $20 lipstick, well, ummmm I am sticking with my bonne bell lip gloss for now! HaHa..

So here goes, I got up today and dressed to my shoes.

This SITE is very addicting and I'm not sure how long I will stick with the 'suggestions' it was a bit fun to browse the site and get a whiff of motivation.

Once 3pm hit, I was back to my tshirt and sweats, and under the covers watching Oprah. Oh well, it was nice until it lasted. Maybe I'll try flying again tomorrow but, for now, I'm frumpy stylin' it again.

Question: So tell me what's your fashion sense? are you a diva, fashionita, cutie patootie, frumpy stylin, or what?

You look great! I especially like your hairdo. Very chic!

I'm not frumpy at home but I definitely look dorky. :p

A Giants t-shirt and jeans? No make-up? Barefoot? What would you call that?

Definitely not a fashion statement.

T-shirt and jeans. Maybe a sweatshirt. Isn't that the standard 'uniform' for moms of little ones?? On really good days, when I don't have to leave the house, pjs. Clean ones if you're lucky!

Frumpy? Probably. If I know I'm not leaving the apartment I wear yoga pants and a tee. If I go out, jeans, boots, and a nicer, tighter tee. Just because I like to mix it up. Though, I have been known to step out with my hair in an unkempt pony and no makeup.

I like to think my inner fashionista is bohemian...I'm just waiting for the outside to catch up with the inside. ;)

I am fiercely frumpy! I realized I was considered frumpy last year and actually started "trying" to get frumpiless clothing.

I went out today to go get myself something and picked up a pants I have been eyeballing for months it was finally on sale for 40% off. I grabbed up the stupid pants and do you know I left the store without it.
I am going back tomorrow and I made myself promise that if it's on the rack I am buying it

I'm a tshirt and jeans kinda girl. I would actually prefer sweats and no bra, but since I occasionally have to go into public...

Until about two years ago I was a frumpie, anything dark to cover my tail end was what I bought.

I'm still not a fashion diva, but now I venture beyond Goodwill. I even got daring and purchased a 4" pair of heels recently, which around here, borders on hootchie-like.

I can be any of those. Depends on my mood for the day. Tell you what though, you are definitely not frumpy!

I love to "dress up" for my personal reasons. Okay, truth is, I liked how nice I dressed in my "younger" days. Every chance I get to dress up, I relish the moment ... even if it's just for dinner with my 3 kiddo's at 5PM.

Hahahha (I can see the eyes rollin' on my comment)
