Educational Playdates are fun!

Every Monday, our toddler moms group hosts an educational playdate.

Welcome Song
Circle Time
Craft

Storytime
Playtime

It's a really fun time for the kids. There are some days "please sit still and listen to the story" just doesn't work.
It's a good thing we figure out creative ways for the kids to learn while playing!

Fun times!

Lesson of the Day:
Mix Green and Yellow to make the Color Green

Note: Be sure to have baby wipes handy for your "OCD" toddler. HaHa.

Question: Are you in a moms group, playdates for your toddler? What are your thoughts on them?

They're nothing but drama and headache.. okay I'm just kidding I like it. Gives me time to talk to mommies and lets my kids play with other young ones.

Christopher looooves to paint.

RE: your comment, you need to use Tilex. Not the lemon scent one because that doesn't work. Use the Tilex-Mold & Mildew remover. Becareful, arm yourself with some gloves and don't let it touch you. it smells just like clorox. Spray it on anything, it clears up the coffee stained stain and tiles..like a champ. Leave it on for about 2 minutes but you can see it actually clearing!

But it's funny that I hadn't used it when I cleaned. I could clearly see the dirt in between the tiles :-)

Thanks for the Mother's Day wishes you left on my blog. Hope you had a great one too.
Shortly after my son was born, I joined the MOMS Club in my area, and I didn't feel comfortable. I do enjoy meeting other moms, but find that I get enough at the Gymboree classes we attend twice a week.

Once a week the boys and I go to "park" day. It's a bunch of moms that get together at a park to let our kids run around! I also attend a transracial adoption playgroup called "colorful kids connecting". The ladies there have been a lot of fun to get to know and so supportive and informative- their kids are beautiful too! There are a lot of African American kids, some from China, the Marshall Islands, Guatemala, Columbia, 5 of mine are Filipino! I am missing some countries I think, but there are kids from around the world! It's fun and a great way to meet families like mine and help my children experience diversity. My twins start pre-school in August! I am so excited for them- they will love it. They even go on a couple of field trips...it's hard to believe my little guys going on a "field trip"! They will be soo cute with oversized backpacks on!

Tooooooo cute! I am in a playgroup but it seems all they do is play together. Your post inspired me to throw in some learning as well!

You have an awesome playgroup! Ya'll are so creative - keep up the good work.

And your boy is adorable. He's hilarious too - I watched his dance clip and was laughing out loud. He's got some mooooooves! ;)

Love, Michelle

What a cutie! My oldest was an OCD toddler, too! I thought it was just her. I think I stumbled over here from Military Mommy.

p.s.I can't live up to FlyLady, either.

I'm not in a group and that is mostly because I am shy and a lot of them are religious in nature and that is just not for me. I have been thinking about it though. It would be good for both Zakary and I.

Looks like everyone had fun. My 4-year old and 1-year old love to paint, including me.

Too cool!
I am in two really different Mom's groups. It is a great way to meet people and get out (especially when you are new in town!)
The playdates look like so much fun!

That sounds like a lot of fun! I'm not in a moms group, kind of. But no playgroups. I would really like to get involved in one. One day.

Stop by today, you have been tagged!
