Ever wanted a Re-Do?

I have the most amazing husband in the world. I'm sure you're probably disagreeing because you have the MOST amazing husband, wife, lover, boyfriend, etc... but, for this one moment please hear me out. I think you'll agree.

I noticed my gas tank was FILLED to the F line this morning and I thought, WOW my sweetie hooked me up. Filled my tank and I'm set for the week. Thank you! My next thought was to call him right then and there to thank him but, I was running late and said I would call when I was back home from my doings today! Well, needless to say the day came and the dinner table was the setting of a moment of OH DAMN! I totally forgot. Here's how it all went down:

Sweetie: You're welcome.
Me: Huh? Say what? I'm welcome for what?
Sweetie: Silence
and then it hit me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

URRGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I forgot to thank him. My guy filled the tank for me! Good looking out! And I FORGOT to thank him.
Me: Thank you! I totally noticed and I started to call you this morning but, I was running late and then ummmm well, ummmmm.....
Thank you sweetie and I totally appreciate everything you do!
Sweetie: You know I LOVE giving you a hard time. I needed to use the car and it was on E so, it wasn't a big deal. Stop letting the car get so low on gas. Ok?

In my thoughts: After all these years, he still does the most simplest things that mean so much! How does this man put up with me on a daily basis still baffles me and those closest to us (our daughter and his mother) haha!

Lesson learned: SLOW down and never pass up an opportunity to do something "JUST BECAUSE" for the special person in your life. OH and Don't forget to say thank you!

Question:
Has something ever happened and you wish you had that moment back to say something in response?
Well, here's your chance.
Post something that happened in the past and your response you wished you could've given at the time!

I totally lost it yesterday and went into a tirade directed at hubby. I wish I had kept my big mouth shut to avoid the "God, I am an idiot, forgive me please?" plea I had to speak later on.

Ugh

You're very blessed to have a good man. =)

Just this morning my hubby snuggled up to me and said he is the luckiest man to have found me (today is his birthday!) and guess what I said? Absolutely nothing! I don't know what came over me! I think the cheesecake I made and the crablegs and stuffed mushrooms I will make for dinner will make up for me not saying anything.

I love the response!! So great and I love this post.
You have a wondeful hubby... you are very lucky!! And he's so cute too!!
Yesterday when my son pooped and peeped on the potty - I wish I had made a bigger deal. We had so much going on here and he was so proud of himself and it was the first time he had ever done that!!! So tonight I"m taking him to Target for a Thomas Train.

One time back in the day mind you, I was in a dance competiton. I placed 2nd I think? This guy came up to me, goes "Wow, you did amazing! you look amazing! Congratulations!" I was out of breath from dancing, I just looked at him, and I wish I had said "Thank-you!" He walked away looking at me like "You snob"
Now when I get a compliment, I always say "Thank-you" without hesitiation.

Why do all women do that?? Run their cars until it's all the way on E?

I'm going to have to make a post about that.

You're man is a good one!

Aww, that is so nice of your husband. I hate filling the tank, so I am always happy if my husband pumps gas into the car.

Reading this made me feel bad. It made me realize how much I take my husband for granted. My gas tank always miraculously fills itself and I just figure that's his job but truth and in fact he really doesn't have to do it! I have the CC too!

Yesterday with my sore neck I ran out as soon as he came home to go gallavanting around the place. I left him for over 4 hours. He didn't complain how tired he was and he was. I came home, the place had miraculously cleaned itself and he kissed me goodnight and went straight to bed but not before he asked me if I had fun! Kind of wished I had "rewarded" him. Ahem...you know. Hehehe TMI I know. Poor guy
