You have to say sorry.

Scene One:

Me: Buckling up my son in his carseat.---Click!

DJ: OUCH!-You pinch me! You pinch me!

***Yes, people, I snapped my son's thigh in the carseat buckling process.***

Me: I'm so sorry baby! Are you ok?
DJ: I'm ok

During the entire car ride:

DJ: Mommy pinch my leg!
Me: I know, I'm sorry baby
DJ: You have to say Sorry.
Me: I'm sorry
DJ: I'm ok

*sigh*
Now he never lets me forget it when i'm buckling him. You know, because he flinches when it comes to the buckling part.

Question: have you ever pinched your child's thigh when buckling them in? OR am I the only one?

like michael jackson sang once..."you are not alone" i have done it.

shake it off...if thats the worse thing you have ever done to your son by accident, then you are doing great. I have heard some horror stories.

I haven't pinched them buckling the car seat, but I have pinched the chins buckling their helmets. They still flinch everytime.

Well the good news is I'm NOT guilty of ever pinching any of my children with a seat belt buckle (BUT...that's only because I don't drive---LOL)

I am however guilty of having zipped up their little chins more times than I care to admit. Darn them winter coats!!!

Shhh....you didn't hear that from me.

Yep, you're the only one!

Just kidding. I pinched my son's fingers all the time and make it so the strap cuts into his neck. Poor kid!

I have had the pinch the lip when zipping a jacket/coat thing. Funny, how she used to jump when it got closer. LOL.

I not only pinched. I rolled heads up in the window. I slammed fingers. And yes, I drove to work and forgot they were in the back seat.

Done worse, thought she was standing behind me, I was shutting the bathroom door, her shoes were in the hall so she put her hand where the hinges are on the door. The very second I was shutting it, yes, it squeezed her hand, and bruised 3 fingers, under the nail.
And was bruised for about 1 month.
Yes, now when she is near a door way, I say "Move your hands away from the door" like a crazy woman! I am more paranoid about it happening again I think...

forgot to add, she put her hand in the doorway by the hinges to get a balance to put her shoes on that was in the hallway. Happened toooo too fast!

OH boy, I did that with Christopher once and he didn't let me forget about it for months! MONTHS. When I would buckle him in, he would be so tense.

Time to air my bad laundry, I pinched him on the chin while buckling his helmet. Now he is scared when I put it on. He says, "Mama, no pinch Christopher" sigh. Then the day it happened he told daddy. When we had family picnic, he told Grandpa.

With Alyssa the zipper caught her on her chest. Ouch. She screamed so loud. I felt so bad. It just continues.

I am the bad mommy :~[

I am still pinching body parts and my kids are big! You don't mean to but it does happen!

The real question is: who HASN'T done something like that?!

And those kids can drive that guilt-mobile better than any adult I know!

I haven't done that exact thing, but plenty of others. Isn't lovely how they remind you over an over that you hurt them. As if you didn't feel bad enough. Kids are funny!

Oh yes, I have done that. I've also pinched their sweet little chin skin in the coat zipper, smacked their cute, trusting little heads on the top of the car as I tried to put them in the car seat, and bruised their precious, chubby little shins trying to get them out of baby swings, high chairs, and strollers.

In fact, I am too clumsy to be a mother. Just call DHS now.

Of course, they've given me a few injuries too, come to think of it...

We've definitely been there and constantly reminded up till today. Especially when she's not wearing anything long...."Mummy, be careful. I'm not wearing my jeans."

Coincidentally, she buckled herself up last week on her stroller and pinched herself till skin and blood came off. Ouch!

Oh my gosh! My sister just pinched my little Jada on Sunday. It was so sad too because she was tired and ready to get into her carseat and she saw that I was busy at the moment and she kept saying, tee tee buckle me, buckle me, then AHHHHH she starts to wail gets out and hugs me sooooo tight. Poor baby. she said she was fine too after a really tight hug. I've done it before and my hubby has done it well 3 too many times if not more. No bad mommies, the mere fact that we're discussing our hiccups tells us that we're doing a great job. Keep it up!!!
