day out with daddy

We went to the Local Kids Museum and had a great time.

The funniest part was DJ looking into the doors waiting for it to open.
Look at this kid. He is READY to party!!

They're VERY strict about the hours of operation! 10am-noon! For a person like myself (who's always late) I was so proud that we made it there on time and early.

For instance if an event starts at 10am and we arrive at 10am we are LATE according to my husband. He says to arrive 9:45 am and be ready to rock and roll.
Ummmm... yeah ok. Thanks Sweetie. :)

If an event starts at 10am and I arrive at 10am you better believe it's a MIRACLE!

Let me stop chatting and show you the pictures from our FUN day! Too bad miss Danyelle works so many hours. She misses out on all the fun!

Question: What's your SECRET on arriving to events on time? Any advice to a momma who's ALWAYS late?

Aww I can't wait to have kids so I can go museum hopping!! I have no tips on being on time, but have everything organized the day before?

I am always early which is a problem for different reasons as I end up killing time in places. I tend to start the "getting ready to leave " process about 30 minutes before I really absolutely have to leave to be on time and that way I am usually about 10 minutes early/ on time wherever I go. Some days are more stressful than others, especially as J has started fighting me on everything but it still works for the most part.

I'll have to keep reading because I have that problem too. Is it because I am black? Ok j/k can I say that here?
Anyway, no matter how early we start getting ready we are always late. Even when I had kids I was late. I would be ready and see that I'm early and just walk around the place aimlessly when I could have left and drove slowly.

I would say that it's the military in your husband but mine is the same. Why do we always have to be late he asks me. My answer: because we have kids and they'll understand, when truth and in fact they have nothing to do with it. Oh well.

I don't think it's because you're black. I think it's because you have two little kids who can always find a monkey wrench to throw at the last minute.

I have no solution except to start 30 minutes earlier.

Tanyetta, have you seen that old Mervyn's commercial? The woman pressed up against the window saying "open, open, open"?

I'm notoriously EARLY for things. I just can't stand to feel frazzled, etc. for anything. Even with my twins, I'm still usually early. I just basically spend all morning -- or the night before -- preparing for the exit. I have everything ready to go, in their bags, or in the car. Then, I have to get the girls ready at the last minute. I save only those can't do any other time for that time. I plan to leave 20 minutes earlier than necessary, too, so that I never run late even when things go wrong, which they often do with toddlers.

Well, I'm always late too. My husband knows to tell me that appointments/times are earlier than they really are. So basically he has to lie to me in order to get me(us) places on time. I used to be much better when I worked. After I quit, I reverted back to my natural late self. ;)

DJ is the cutest peeping tom ever! I applaud you for being on time. I've done better about being on time, but it's a struggle.

Road rage, no just joking! I don't speed like a maniac, if I'm 5 minutes late its ok. I try not to stress over it. But apt's they prefer if we check in 15 minutes early, that just about kills me, don't know why.

My secret? I ain't got no secrets...I'm always late too but it's my mindset. I'm good as long as I catch part of anything :)

Great pictures girl...looks as if DJ had a blast!

I am never late, it is my hubby that travels on CPT!!! LMAO!!! I was taught to be on time growing up and it stuck. What is bad is I am usually freakishly early. I get there before the workers or guest of honor does!!!

I also tend to be early and feel like I'm running late if I'm actually on time. It's a sickness. I thought having kids would cure that and make me late all the time. But I usually over-compensate in when I start the process of getting out the door. Sure, there are times when we are running late, but it doesn't happen all that often (except when it comes to getting to church when hubby is home, hm-m). I think promptness is probably a personality trait. So cut yourself some slack.

That looks like one cool museum!

I'm almost always late. Well, look at it this way. For the amount of things WE have to do, there just isn't enough hours in a day!!!

Don't hate me but I'm one of those people that is always EARLY for everything (everything except work...lol).

I'm not sure how I do it, but I'm the type of person that just PLANS for everything, so I kind of have a mental checklist that I go over the night before.

I know...I know...stop calling me a goody-2-shoes!

Why do you have the most gorgeous kid on the net.

I get the boys clothes ready the night before even if it is an afternoon engagement. I always get myself ready first that way they aren't dressed, ready to go and antsy. I pack up everything we need for the outing and put it in the car. By the time I get the last one's shoes tied we're ready to walk out of the door. I hate being late and am always aiming to get places early especially if I'm unfamiliar with the venue/area.
