Repost: What's up with the hate?

I'm really looking for some feedback about a certain place that kids LOVE with a passion.

This place causes some parents to want to set a bomb off in the place.

I'm NOT sure what all the hate is. I need some feedback on this one. I'm not sure what the problem is. Maybe I'm
missing something. I personally LOVE this place.

They always have great coupons for FREE tokens and PIZZA. They even sell beer to the adults that need some liquid courage to get by in this place.

What's up with all the hate? Is it that bad of a place???????

Question: What are your thoughts on Chuck E. Cheese?

Love it or Hate it?

Please! Explain!

I don't mind it. However the last 2 parties I have been to there have been crazy and the people in charge did a really bad job.(I was a Party Hostess for McDonald's in highschool and am know every picky lol) The games are fun and the food is ok. It's a little noisy but on as a whole I'd give it 3 stars for kids.

I can't stand the place. Every time I've been there it's been full of out-of-control, hyperactive children, most of whom seem to be under no adult supervision whatsoever. I have to constantly hover over and watch my kids just to make sure they're not run over or bullied or pushed by the kids whose parents are too busy eating pizza and letting the video games babysit their kids. And it's too loud.

You asked! :-)

I don't like it. I have been there 3 times. The service sucks. Many times the machines don't work and steal your tokens and don't give you tickets. An even though we complained and got tickets back it's not worth the trouble to me.

I don't know who trains their staff or if they ever do but the first time I went I ended up complaining to the company. They apologized profusely and even send me coupons for free tokens and pizza. We don't eat pizza so I shared with the other moms there and we got use of the tokens. Another occasion the tables were filthy and there was a smell that made me nauseous. I knew that smell. It was the smell of them wiping the tables with dirty towels that weren't washed recently

They SUCK big time and I am never going back. Did I mention their food is sorely overpriced? Even with those coupons in the back of the smart saver.

Now there is a new one in Vista right down the road but I am so over this place they will never get my business.

(I am apologizing for any spelling errors before hand as I am too lazy to spell check :-) )

lol "...big rats house."
I've never brought my daughter there, but have been there as a child. I used to love it as a kid. I remember watching the stuffed robotic chuck e cheese band on stage, used to crack me up ;)

I've never been there so I can't have an honest opinion, but from what I've heard from my friends, I don't think it's our kind of place. I'm glad though, thatI'm not the only one that's not overly anxious to go there.

I'm not a parent but have been there twice. Each time I would have rather had my eyes gouged out with rusty spoons by someone with sever B.O.

Seriously. That place is out-of-control and the parents are oblivious to their kids acting a dang donkey's butt.

I love my nephew dearly and have yet to tell him no. Whenever it happens that he asks me to take him here...will be the first time.

Seriously.

LOL. I am glad that time is over.
I like Caesar Land when my daughter was little. Jeepers is off the hook. I don't do kiddie parties anymore now that I have a teen.

I don't think I have been to Chuck E's before.

I have to say most places like that are not maintained. No wonder some kids get sick playing with others at those places.

I'm with you on this one. I've been to chucky cheese quite a few times and my experience with the children has ALWAYS been great.

Guess I'll have to pay close attention to everyone else's comments so I like you can find out what's going on.

I'm a little late on this one, but I just had my 5 year old's party there and I took a tip from a good friend and we had smooth sailing:

1. Go first thing in the morning when it opens at 10am. That way everything, from the salad bar to the restrooms are fresh and clean. There are less kids and most people don't do parties that early.

2. Go to the nicest one in the are even if it means traveling a few extra hours.

3. Don't invite too many kids you can't handle.

WE HAD A BALL!!! AND ALL THE KIDS AND PARENTS ENJOYED THE EXPERIENCE.

OK, I'm a little late. I have to say that the first time I took my baby was her 2nd birthday party. I've only been during the week which has given us somegreat experiences. Jada loooooves the place. I loooove the place. I always forget my coupons so the food has been pricey, but again, we'll only go when I'm off during the week. The weekends can get very HECTIC. We have Jon's Incredible pizza which is a SUPER DUPER chuck e cheese, like they have a bowling alley, mini golf, rides, and bumper cars INSIDE the place with all you can eat salad, pasta, pizza and more for just 6.00. Are you in southern Cali? John's is in the IE. All of my LA and OC friends loooove the place and will take the drive. I bounce between chuck e and johns often.
