DJ and I stopped by Danyelle's new job to say hello!
We met her boss and this is when the fun begins.
Her boss: Hi, you must be Danyelle's mom!
Me: Yes!
Her boss: It's so nice to meet you. I've heard so many wonderful things about you! Danyelle talks about her parents and her baby brother all the time!
Me: Really? Wow, that's very sweet. How much did she pay you to say all these wonderful things?
Her boss: Giggle, Giggle, No really, she talks about you all the time. And just to let you know, you have a wonderful daughter. She is the sweetest girl ever! You've done a great job raising her. You and your husband must be very proud.
Me: *blushing* Thank you. That is super sweet and a very nice compliment. This is music to my ears. Thank you!
On the way home, I was CHEESING the entire time. Replaying what I just experienced. You know, there are some days as a parent you really question if your kids are listening, paying attention or if they'll grow up to make you proud. Well, needless to say, I had to stick my chest out and I called Darrin to tell him the good news. He said, "Those whooping's sure paid off" HaHa. Just kidding! No really, She's a good kid. Even if she doesn't keep her room clean and she listens to Rock Music! And NO there's nothing wrong with listening to music way above the normal decibels! HaHa.
We love you Danyelle!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you put up with us?????????

I do understand wondering if your child is listening. It feels good when you see or hear what you taught come from their actions.

That is the culmination of this job we call parenting! I only have 4 more years to go and I lose 50% of my kids! Thanks to you and the husband for giving me a light at the end of the tunnel!

Awe..that's sweet...just wanted to let you know I stopped by..first time...great atmosphere!
I think that it really neat. My kiddos are still small but I can remember my parents coming to my place of work when I was young and really hoping that I made them proud. It's so special to have that great relationship with your kiddos. Well done!
