Candy Land and Winners

My husband is very competitive. It's just the way it is. If he's on a run and sees someone way up ahead of him, he will break his neck to pass them. Most times the people have NO idea they're in a race with him. Yes, it's that serious in his mind.

The other day, he and DJ were playing Candy Land and DJ decided to go one too many squares ahead.

What does my husband decide to do? Let him know the error in his ways and instructed DJ to go back to the right square.

I kept saying, he's only a baby, he doesn't understand the rules. He's just happy to be playing a game with Daddy.

Well, my husband didn't agree. You see, my son going too many squares ahead meant he was winning and daddy wasn't having it. (Now do you see why I stopped playing Scrabble with this man. He is tooooo much!)

Tooooooo funny! After a while, DJ announced it was time for the Candy Land Carwash. He set up the game board like a tent and passed the game pieces through.

So as you see, my son just enjoyed playing with his daddy and daddy enjoyed himself too. As long as we can all acknowledge that DJ cheated and Daddy was the winner of the Candy Land Game. HaHa... I pointed out that they were both winner's in my book! awwwwwwwwwww.

"Don't even know that they're racing"........LOL! girl that is too funny.

Aww, they look like they're having sooooo much fun.

It's funny somedays when you post pics I think he looks just like you, and then days like today I think he looks just like his dad. Either way you all make a beautiful family. Keep it up. You're role models to more people then you might think.

Peace

Maybe your husband is on to something, teaching your son how to play the game correctly. Never too early to show kids the "right" way. ;)

Your husband sounds like my father. He'd never let us win at chess. NEVER!

This one made me laugh for many reasons. First being, my girlfriend and I walked for Diabetes a few years back and we were so racing a young girl in front of us. She caught on and started walking as fast as she could. We weren't having it and didn't give up until we passed her out.(Sick right)
2nd-I stopped playing scrabble with my husband because I would always end up making his words because he took too long. So technically I was always playing against myself. :)

Hahaha....too funny. You're one helluva lucky Mama - of the big kid AND the little kid. I just love watching Daddy and Baby bonding sessions. It just gives you those warm fuzzies of irreplacable joy....
