The best time ever with my #1 girl

Have you ever spent time with someone and you laughed, cried, giggled, argued, made up and fought again and then laughed and hugged and had so much fun just by being around them?

Well, this is what happens when I hang out with this girl right here! She is a splitting image of her dad but, she has my crazy personality. I LOVE THIS GIRL! My beautiful baby girl. She will always be my baby, can someone explain this to her!

How about we went to see Saw 4 yesterday and I spent half the time covering my face and she spent half the time taking my hands away from my face! LOL
She knows that I am deathly afraid of scary movies but, I always make an exception for her. If she wants to see it, then I'll go and see it!

We are crazy! We promised to make more time to spend together. Just as I make non-negotiable dates with daddy, I am promising to do the same with her. She is a nut! I love her. OH and we talked about some serious stuff but, how is it that it keeps ending in laughter? And why does she always say, Awww..mom, I love you even though you are too much sometimes. I'm too much? What? See? That was another argument right there! LOL

The best part when she will look at me with a straight face and say something like, "Ok, mom, don't tell Dad" and then we bust out laughing because she knows I can't keep NO secrets from that man. He reads me like a book. All he has to ask is "what did ya'll talk about" and there I am singing like a canary. LOL

Just kidding. I keep the 'girl' stuff to myself. If I even tried to tell him, he would stick his fingers in his ears and say, "la,la,la, I'm not listening!" hahaaa!!!!

I love my daughter. I see myself in her in so many ways. Even when I am too much as she put it! I'm salty about that, do you think she's too old for punishments? No, I'm serious. HaHa!

I know that she feels left out sometimes since her brother showed up 3 years ago and I am doing my best to make sure she doesn't feel this way. I am guilty of spending way more time with him. I know this. I am sorry. I promise to do better!

The best part, people that have met her and know her personally tell me the same exact thing. They LOVE HER! They stop by her job just to say hi and to 'check on her' for me. I know she hates that but, after her store got robbed, I had to put the word out for my people to go and check on her if they're in the area!

She went on a road trip (anything past LA is far to me and I call it a road trip) with my friend Kelli and she said the same exact thing. They love her! Makes me proud.

This is what I have always loved about our mother-daughter relationship and it is exactly how I feel it should be. We go through our stuff. We really do! I know that I am not a perfect mom and I make tons of mistakes reading her journal that she left in her top dresser drawer under the pile of clothes on the right hand side.

Through the good and the bad times, coming back to what truly matters is the key!---FAMILY FIRST and ALWAYS!--It makes me proud. To my baby girl, I promise to keep those "mother-daughter day" dates with you. I am going to pick the next outing though. I can't sit through another scary movie. I'm getting too old for that kinda foolishness! I love you! Be good!

Special memories! Keep the laughs coming, and I know she said, “You're too much!” My baby is goin' to start with that mess too, but I will sure make her a believer before she's in Kindergarten. Why? Cause I'm the momma that's why!

She's so pretty. My mom and I are EXACTLY like that. We get together and we laugh, talk, cry, fuss, laugh some more. My mom told me that I was the only person in the world who's ever made her feel every emotion in the span of 5 minutes!

Memories with our kids are a great thing!

To answer your questions from my blog I take say what I am cooking and break down costs per meal. Ie Spagetti pie noodles I would take okay how much am I using of each ingredient..and break it down..12 eggs = .13 each..toast.o5 Each etc and I make my meals to feed and have the 3rd for my lunch the next day sometimes the meals are meant for more(ie4 to6) and that is for when I am having co or going to use it for meals to come( ie when I do a whole chicken).

That is really sweet. It reminds me of the relationship with my mom. I miss being in driving distance of her. Cherish these moments and keep those dates. Store up the memories.

Awww, that is so cute. I know what you mean. When me and my daughter hang we laugh like crazy, actually we laugh like that at home. We get so silly at times falling out laughing. We have had our best talks discussing subjects off our fav show like Grey's Anatomy. We have laughed so hard and nearly passed out on each other.

I can say some talks have blew my mind and I want to cover my ears, yet nod and listen while my brain is screaming.

Girls' day out is SO much fun.

I cannot wait until my daughter is "almost grown" so we can become friends instead of just "mommy and daughter". You are truly blessed.

Oh how sweet!! You two look like sisters! I love that you said you are alty...made me think of Kanye's song Good Life when he says "Lawry's" LOL!! That is great you are making girl time with your favorite girl. I do that all the time with my girls and promised that I will still have 1 on 1 time even when baby brother comes along. Isn't that such a great feeling inside to know that you have such a great family life? Enjoy your baby girl!

Danyelle, you are too cute even when you make crazy faces. Both of you stay crazy, it's the only way to keep your sanity!!!!

I did a double take when I saw your pics. I wasn't sure right off who was the mom. Kudos on looking so young.

I love that you can't keep secrets from your hubby. Me either! If anyone tells me a heavy secret I go straight in and tell Wendell. Then I feel soooo much better.

What a beautiful tribute to your daughter. One I'm sure she won't soon forget. I have two daughters and a son. My oldest daughter and I have a special relationship-Sometimes my ugly side comes out and as I'm yakking away I will look at her and she has this face like-Are you for real? And I burst out laughing in the middle of ranting.
Her teacher told me last week that she is the type of child that a person hopes their child will be like. That definitely brought tears to my eyes and I was so proud.
Mothers and Daughters-Daughters appreciate their mothers more when they become mothers themselves. That I know.

That is so sweet that you two enjoy spending time together because you know some 20 year olds don't want to be in the same vicinity as good old mom lol!! That's a blessing and a testament to the good mother you actually are. Love the pics too!!

I wish I had a relationship like that with my mom. Sometimes I feel like we're just two different people.

Awwww. I can't believe you were all up in her journal, LOL! Good thing I didn't keep one. My mother rarely even came in my room. My mom and I were at each other's throats until I left for college. It was just hard being the only child, I couldn't do anything and she would get mad at me for not telling her anything, you know like that top secret stuff that you would never just go blurting to your parents. She had me at 32 and I felt like we were just stuck in different time periods if that makes sense. Don't be dressing DJ up in ugly clothes! You're doing a good job right now not embarrassing him, lol.
