I won't love you to death.

Mario, my heart goes out to you.

Look at that face:

He's so young and he's dealing with a HUGE situation with his mom. She's addicted to Heroin. This show was so deep! When Mario broke down and contacted the Intervention show, I crossed my fingers she would go and seek help. You can see he was at the end of his rope and didn't know where else to turn.

MTV presented: I won't love you to death: The story of Mario and his mom.

THE ENTIRE COLLECTION.

Mario showed such an intimate and personal side of his life. You can see it in Mario's eyes.
No matter the fame or fortune, he just wants his Mommy. CLEAN and SOBER!

It wasn't until his momma so clearly explained that until SHE WANTS THIS FOR HERSELF then well, you know the rest..............SIGH.

This show first aired in October so, I hope by now, she's on the clean and sober path.

Question: Have you checked out the show? What were your thoughts on it?

I didn't know it was a series. I saw it back in October and watched the interview afterwards on MTV.com with he and his mom. At that time, I think she was eight months sober.

Thanks for the link! I don't get to watch the television much so having access on the Internet at my convenience is very helpful.

Drug addiction is destroying the lives of those who participate, and stealing the joy of their family and friends.

The beginning of this year I was intrigued to watch The Corner, the Emmy Winning HBO six-hour miniseries based on the true story. It was heavy-duty reality, and then to my surprise one of the writers commented.

I also watched and reviewed Half Nelson.

I watch Intervention. Drug addiction has impacted my family. It's awful and heartbreaking and scary. When someone you love is an addict, it's such a helpless feeling.

I always pray for people in those situations.

BTW, my addict, he's clean and sober for 3 yrs, in college and doing wonderfully. *sigh* Finally. Amen!

I was hooked after the first video and viewed them all before leaving the house today! Thanks again for sharing. It seems Mario's mom is on the path of success.

I have watched that series but due to the load amout of those struggles and being too emotional myself i stopped. Its a great thing that he choose to do something like that. Sometimes we forget that no matter how much money someone has they aren't always in a good situation in their lives.
