Nice warm slice of love

My husband LOVES pineapple upside down cake. He's not a really big sweets and junk food eater so, when he hints that he sure would love to have a nice warm slice of pineapple upside down cake, then well.........how can I say no? Even if I've never really, ummmm....ever made one, it shouldn't be that hard, right?

Danyelle: Mom, what happened to the label on the pineapple can? Why are you cooking in your cami?
Me: I took the label off because the recipe was on the inside of the label. I took my tshirt off so I can be comfortable. Why are you picking on me?
Danyelle: Ah, mom, you're so cute! Whatever helps your process. Now back to the recipe. You need a recipe to make this cake?
Me: Yes! of course. I'm not Paula Deen, I need a recipe for half the stuff I try to cook. Can you support me on this one?
Danyelle: Ummmmmmm....Ok. Sure. Do you think I should call Nana? I'm sure she'll walk you through the steps. Good Luck Mom! (nervous laughter)
Me: Why are people picking on me in this house? Here I am trying my best not to mess up the cake.

My son is the only one who appreciates the fact that I try my best to cook up stuff in the kitchen and he always wants to help me! Packing the sugar and licking the mixers are his favorite part! Just kidding. Everyone in this house loves my cooking. I think. Haha! (nervous laughter)

Recipe-check
Ingredients-check

Set oven to 375-check
Now this is where things went a little ummmmmmmm ---Ooops! The recipe called for 350. I read the recipe THREE times. I carefully went through the entire steps, was so proud of myself and BOOM! Messed up on the Oven temp. How did I mess the Oven temp up? ***sigh, sigh, sigh.***

Thank goodness it's an upside down cake. That's all I gotta say about that!!! LOL
Shhhhhhhh!!

Thank you Baby girl for taking all the photos and not making fun of my cake!

Update: He LOVED the cake!
