Stall Tactics-the 3 year old way!

One thing we are not short of in this house.

BOOKS!!!!!!

My son has a love for learning and reading.
Here's the stack of my son's all time favorite books.
He can recite each book word for word.

I've tried skipping pages but, he's hip to me.
Now, I just tell him he can only pick 3 books out of the stack for bedtime.

Needless to say, after I've read the 3 choices,
he then requests for Daddy to come and read to him too.
It took us a few nights to realize we were being played like a fiddle by a 3 year old.

Anything to stall the bedtime business I tell you!

Why is the "Guess how much I love you" book so long? I'm just saying!

Question: What are some of the titles of your kids favorite books.
Especially the ones at bedtime?

We have tons too! Funny three is my limit as well. It must be the fact that we're at our limit and so are they, but kids just won't admit it!

Milton the Early Riser has been a favorite since last year.

We try to pick up a new book every time we visit the zoo because of her love for animals. Books are good thing!

I just bought Guess How Much I Love You for Christmas at Kohl's for $5.00. Thanks for "just saying!"

Ahahahaha!!!! Yes, "Guess how much I love you" goes on forever!!!! But it's such a wonderful showing of unconditional love.....something I never had when I was a kid :-( and something I intend to give to Tee forever!

I know thats write (pon intended). My 2 yr reads so good, she can read the books upside down, but gets mad when i turn them right side up nd reads to her - unless its time for bed

I think I have three different stacks of books selected from 2 baskets (yes baskets) of board books that are Annika's "favorite" right now.

Ones that top her list:
Good Night Moon
Doggies by Sandra Boynton
Snoozers by Boynton
5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed

We have SO many books. They are everywhere. Here are some that I know by heart by now:

5 Little Monkeys Jumping On the Bed

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

Angelina and the Princess (THIS one's long!)

I've limited it to 1 bedtime story. That's it.
BUT he will spend the next 30 minutes (at least), calling us "Mommy I hurt my toe" Daddy "I soooo Hungry" "Can I go to the store?" "I need another bath" yeah crazy stuff like that. So those are Gav's stalling methods. I just got a new/old book from a cousin, "There's an alligator under the bed" Gav loves it. Other favorites:
The Snowy Day
The Truck Book
Guess How Much I Love You
Pinnochio
