Thank you cousin Robbin!

My son is the luckiest and very loved boy in the world. He has so many friends and family members who just love to send presents to him. They love to call and hear his daily ramblings about his day. One person in particular calls and gets mad if I answer. She will say, where's DJ? HaHa! He is too cute when he opens his presents. He always says.....Ohhhhh, this is for me. And he describes what the gift is. This one is a book about little kids and presents.

He opened each book and summarized each book with: It's about kids and presents. The books aren't about kids and presents but, in his mind they are and that is what we will let him think. Once we read the books, he'll see they are much more than that! He loves to look at the photos and comes up with his own versions of stories. It's very entertaining. What mommy wouldn't say that about their kid? Hah!

These books look very interesting and they're all written by Black Authors. It's always a refreshing sight to see books that represent Black Families. I am going to be sure and read these to him!

Thank you again Robbin! You always give the best books.

Reminder: When someone takes the time to send your child a gift, be sure and take photos of your child opening the present(s) and help them write a thank you note with the photos inserted. It really makes the giver feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Books are the best gifts!
One of my favorite magazines is BabyBug. DJ might be too old for it, but it not only shows a lot of racial diversity, but interracial families as well, which I think is very rare in children's literature.
