5 am feedings are so much fun! (notice the sarcasm?)

and here i thought 5am feedings were a thing of the past since he's NO longer a baby ya know!

my son woke us up at 5am CRYING for rice cheese.

HUH?

yes, rice cheese.

needless to say, i faked sleeping. what? i'm the only one that does that?

just so daddy could get up and get the rice cheese of course. haha.

needless to say, they were back in less than 3 seconds because daddy had NO idea what rice cheese was and my son wanted mommy to give it to him.

sigh.

sooooooooo off to the kitchen we went...for rice cheese.

i said, "point to it. what is rice cheese?"

i'll let someone take a guess what he was talking about.

Question: what was the weirdest thing your child ever requested and what ODD time of the morning was it?

Edited to add: He was looking for shredded mozz cheese. Bless his heart.

5 am? WOW. I am curious now as to what rice cheese can possibly be. I have been repeating "rice cheese" in my head, trying to see what it could possibly sound like. Maybe rice cakes? rice a roni? macaroni? lol I don't even have a clue.

I am with the others... RICE CHEESE???

My 2 year old twins don't ask for wierd food things, but they do have wierd quirks. Lately it's spoons. They need them all the time, in all different colors. They sleep with them, they feed their babies, they bathe with them-- but when dinner comes around...

They want a fork.

Okay am I gonna be the odd ball here? Rice Cheese are slices of "cheese" that are non dairy. They're made with rice milk. You can find them at stores like Whole Foods or other natural food co-ops. How do I know, my hubby buys them ALL the time. And it actually says RICE CHEESE on the package. It's packaged like "american cheese" but it's white and says Rice Cheese. LOL

I can't even imagine what rice cheese is, but I know you got a lot of us who will be repeating it all day now trying to figure it out. Inquiring minds want to know.

I think mine was about 5 when she woke me up early one morning, crying, and saying "I need ... I need ... I need a chocolate dinosaur!"

Lord.

I managed to convince her I would certainly get her a chocolate dinosaur but I couldn't right that second. During the day I wracked my brains until I finally thought to call a friend who does all kinds of creative stuff. She told me where to go to get candy molds and those little pastel or chocolate disks that you melt to make candy with. I did go and find some very nice dinosaur candy molds, and chocolate candy disks.

She was pleased to get her chocolate dinosaur that evening but was puzzled as to why I had it for her ... had no memory of asking for one that morning.

Sigh.
