The impromptu makeover and advice from a friend.

I have a really close friend. I'll call her Shoozy. Why? Because she is the QUEEN of all things fabulousness and most of all SHOES! One look in her closet and you will feel like you've died and gone to clothes, shoes and handbag heaven.

I remember the last time (a few years ago) I went to visit her, I showed up to her house looking like this:

She looked me dead in my eyes and said, stop wearing baggy clothes. It's not a good look on you. Yup, just like that, HONEST, in your face, "because she cares dearly for me" type of advice. I greatly appreciated the advice and never forgot it.

She said, if you can't wear heels (not all women can wear heels) then get a pair of cute wedges or a boot with a heel to start off with.

Needless to say, she started me on my road to un-frumpiness.

She said just because you're a stay at home mommy, doesn't mean you have to dress like a bum. YUP! She gave it to me straight with no chaser! If you don't have a friend like that in your life, you should get one. They are the best. Instead of just telling me I was looking a HotMess, she went to her closet gave me a pair of jeans a blouse and a scarf and said here!

Kinda like, "I can SHOW you better than I can TELL you" And for that, I am truly thankful for friends like her. I can't say that I'm always dressed up everyday. It's just not going to happen but, I never forgot her advice. She was right. I love her for that.

I hope one day she decides to blog and document what it's really like to be fabulous all the time even on your worse of worse days, going through the journey to becoming a mommy and raising the cutest kid on the planet.

So, in closing, please join me in hounding Shoozy to get her blog started. Here's to you Shoozy. Even though we don't speak often, when we do, our convos are always off the charts. Dishing the dirt, laughing 'til our sides hurt, sharing in this journey of motherhood and more. That's the best part! Love ya!

And thank you for always BEING THE REAL DEAL! You need a blog! I don't want to be addicted by myself. Hah!

Hey. I feel like I know you since I always see your comments on Paige and Celia's blogs. Now I just noticed your comments on my cousin Shannan's blog. Anyway, GO SHOOZY! Thank you for being Tanyetta's friend and telling her like it is. I also have a friend like that. She still has to remind me on occasion to not look like a frumpy SAHM.

My baby has been sick the past week, and yesterday when my husband got home from work, the first thing I did was look at him, look at myself, and say, "Ok, so I KNOW I'm wearing the same thing I've been wearing since Sunday, but I swear I showered today!!" True story. Sad, but true

I'm glad you came to my page via Heidi! I'm fun, come more often!!

You look fabulous. I have a friend like that as well, she doesn't pull any punches and won't hesitate to tell me when I look bad.

She was right, and gave you some clothes too!

I remember when I got a handle that bigger clothes make me look bigger. Furthermore, my curves were all covered up.

Shoozy...what a great name! Now, get a blog and start sharing with the rest of us!

OK Ok Ok, I'm going to begin my twelve steps to putting down the scrapbook supplies and begin a blog! As a matter of fact, I'll begin my blog when Tanyetta begins her book (smile) I think Tanyetta is an amazing lady, she should be seen on Oprah's comfy couch so everyone can see her. I do have a lot of advice and can offer various options for everyone. Thanks for the kind words Lady T You're the best!!!

I love honesty! I'm the type that will tell you to "take that off, it's ugly" too, lol. I used to get on my mother's nerves with it, I think she's got it under control now!

We have to wait for you to start your book before Shoozy gets a blog? No Fair!
