Hershey's Bliss Party-Tanyetta Style!

I love parties. I love to eat, laugh, listen to music, talk and more. When it came time for me to throw my own party this past weekend, I FREAKED out. Almost a little, well, a lot but, not for a long time. Let me explain.

Thoughts began to enter my head, what if NO ONE showed up? What if I burned all the food? What if, What if, What if....Ugh! Why do I create more stress on myself that isn't necessary?

I called my husband a few hours before the party started and he couldn't understand what I was tripping about. HE said, just put some chips on the table, everything will be just fine. Uhhhh, yeah ok, Thanks Sweetie.

Of course, I had to call a friendgirl and she said just the right words. She basically said, look if I know moms the way I know moms, anytime they're able to get out of the house away from the kids, is a PARTY! Stop stressing out and just chill~

And chill is what I did.

Whew! Isn't it great to have friends that you can call that will basically tell you what you already know? No need to stress. Save it for the BIG things in life. Done!

Needless to say, the party was a HIT!

5 of the most amazing ladies showed up and we showed out! I'm talking about we let it all hang out and just enjoyed ourselves. The food, conversation, music and everything was PERFECT!

Do you remember this? I was able to give each one of my guests one for their gift
bags.

The music:
Cable channel on the TV (set to the R&B classic hits) whew, no need to set up my iPod. Each song was a hit and it brought back so many good memories.

The menu:
Chocolate covered Strawberries
Pineapple Upside down cake
Hot Wings
Macaroni & Cheese (ummm they scraped the bottom of the pan) LOL
Garden Salad
Garlic Bread
Spinach Quiche Appetizer bites
Iced Tea
Soda
Water
Tons of CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, it was a HUGE HIT!

The gift bags!

This is where DJ had a fit. He realized he wasn't going to be here for the party. He was actually going to Tball practice and dinner with Daddy! He LOST it. I declined to take a photo of the breakdown. It wasn't pretty. Awww....

The table setting!

(We decided to use paper plates and cups. NO clean up for me. Yay!)

My hostess gift from Lisa! This flower FRAGRANCED my entire front room. Can anyone tell me the name of the flower? I need to know how to keep from killing it!

DJ helped with the strawberries. See how much he helped? He ate about 6 of the strawberries. Thanks DJ!

WE had a FANTASTIC evening:

Ladies going home with their party bags:

Yes, that's ATASHA in the photo!
My husband couldn't understand how I met these women on the internet and now they're in my home. I kept trying to explain to him, it's not like I just met them and they showed up in my home. We've been chatting and reading each other's blogs for quite sometime now (yeah, it's starting to sound even more crazier) Well, it makes perfect sense to us and we are all really great friends.

Of course if I just explain it like yeah, I met these 5 ladies on the internet, I threw a party and they showed up. Then yes, that would sound crazy! We're NOT crazy. Leave us alone! HaHa!

The party gift bags and chocolate was provided by: Hershey's Bliss Chocolate

Fun times!

Since they asked when the next party was, I am assuming everyone had a great time!

Question: Do you have parties at your home? What are some of the tips you can share to have a fantastic and fabulous party?

I think the flower is a hyacinth? And you won't kill it but it doesn't last long...
a very spring flower. But ever so wonderful.
I looks like you had a great time!
How nice of you to open your home. I really think there's a special blessing in doing that.

Tips for parties?
keep it simple so you can enjoy yourself.

Thanks again lady! I know you all could tell I don't get out much by myself :) I ran out my house so fast I didn't realize how badly matched my clothes were. Hehehhe....Well the husband thanks you for the chocolate, I didn't eat any!

You know what, the last get together I had at my house all I served were a variety of crackers and a few different cheeses. I told the ladies to bring whatever they wanted to drink. I was trying to keep cost down because I didn't get a bargain like you did on the bath and bodyworks stuff. Shame on you for abusing the use of that coupon. :-)

I love that Mango Mandarin fragrance. I don't know how come I never bought it for myself.

P.S. I probably won't be invited to any other parties at your house seeing that I overstayed my time and all. You know I didn't want to go home HA

Thank You bunches.
