There's a park around the corner from where we live. It's actually a PRIVATE park for residents only.
Whatever. Hah!
I love it because it's a quiet place and it's never crowded and there's NEVER a long wait for the swings.
There aren't any accessible public restrooms (because only the residents have the key) in the area so, I make sure he goes to the bathroom before we leave home.Whatever. Hah!

We're hanging out, kicking the soccer ball (by the way, we're still looking for members for the team)
and we ate our lunch, drank water
and then my dear sweet son does the following:
To my lurkers, Please! come out of lurking, I need you to tell me if I'm the only one with a son that finds joy in watering the trees.

Oh more times than I can count! What you gonna do? He did it at the beach many times, several times at playdate in the park bushes, at the Wild Animal Park, in the Disneyland parking lot, Seaworld parking lot, not to mention our backyard, and that may explain why some of plant died unexpectedly eh? okay I'll stop there.
The first time I was so embarrassed as the beach was packed and he told me nothing. I was talking to some mommies, and keeping an eye on him when I looked up, I saw his behind with swim trunks around ankles and him peeing in the water. Everyone on that beach thought it was funny, everyone except me, that is.
After I raced to the shore to try to cover him up, some lady laughed and said "Don't worry mom, boys will be boys"
She probably saw the look on my face. If I COuld turn red I would have....hehehehe
This won't be the last time either lady so get ready. They're quick fast and will pee on a tree before you can blink!
That is really funny and cute! If I saw that, it would be one of those "oh my god!" snickering into my hands kind of things, because I'd be pretty sure the Mom would be horrified if she saw! I guess we can safely say that you were horrified, huh? ;)
My son who is now in 10, nearly 11, still loves to water trees and bushes outside. I think it is just a boy thing that we moms will never understand.
Iy does really embarrass me so I am trying to get him to stop.
Since your boy is still so young it probably isn't a big deal that he does it, but I totally understand how you feel!
What is it with boys and watering trees? What is that? lol
OK, I'm loving this - Is this what I have to look forward to? Nothing wrong with watering the trees, it's natural. I think DJ is the cutest and should replace that little johnny character that waters everything. This is as cute as the last waterfall he let out.
oh no!! I hope this is not what is to come for me! Well, at least you said it is not crowded so maybe no one saw!
Laughing I have an 18 yr old that if i whipped out pictures that i have of him doing doing some watering.... (shhhh My 36 yr old husband has been known to do his own watering of the back porch at night)paula
LOL I just posted yesterday about my DAUGHTER doing this. You are not alone.
okay... if you gotta go, you gotta go. The one perk of the boy, you get to do that sort of stuff. No, in public, we tend to 'attempt' to not let them 'represent' the family in that way... but at that age, the pants are down before you can stop em!
And hello, park with locked bathrooms?? They deserve that one.
HA
haha. no my 4 y/o son does that too. =P
I am laughing! So cute and so funny! I have a boy, too. What I have to look forward to . . . sigh . . .
Hon my husband does this in the cover of night. LOL It's not just a phase ROFL!!!
Wow! I guess he said the dogs do it so I want to do it too.
(And about R.Kelly... I don't know. He just must be off in the head.... Waaaay off))
See that's why they lock the rest rooms. LOL. I keep random pee'ers out.
As the mother of three boys, I'm here to say that YES boys do this all the time.
I remember telling my 3 year old -
"don't pee in the bushes, it is not socially acceptable" and he said, "I don't want to be socially acceptable."
Nuff said.
I can't count on my hands and toes how many times my child had pulled his pants down and "whipped" it out. So I try to remember to put a belt on him, so he has to ask me to unbutton his pants.
Of course man!! my friends son just peed in their driveway facing the street...haha!
Oh yeah! Get used to it! When I was a kid I watered trees, bushes, sand, walls, poles, garbage cans, my little brother, everything under the sun! Hey, to this day I still do an occasional watering of the aforementioned items, although Sheena doesn't like it. But when I gotta go, I GOTTA GO!
LOL!!!
we've experienced that! no biggie.
Joey still can't pee standing up but I am dying for him to learn so that he can do this and I don't have to panic and rush around looking for a toilet when he needs to pee!
oh my goodness yes!
Totally normal...
OMG, that is so funny. My son has definitely done that. I caught once when he was about to go on the side of the house. I guess it is one of those boy things. Let's just say even at 8, I always keep one eye on him.
Oh my. I just came across your blog by accident. This just made my day. So funny!!! But I have to admit my husband will pee everywhere and anywhere. So I don't think they grow out of it!! Thanks for the laugh though.
D.E.A.D!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! DJ IS A REBEL!
Hysterical! And instead of running over and stopping him, you whip out your camera! HA!
OMG!!! I'm dying laughing over here!!! LOL Girl, I'm HOWLING!!! I do remember my brother doing this, so don't feel bad.
P.S. I got pics from yesterday (bday)!
Plastic Ball $3.00
Bottle of Water $1.50
Peeing on a tree in an area where you aren't supposed to be ...
PRICELESS!!!
lol
I love this!
Oh yeah...my older 2 have done it numerous times. Despite being told differently, they seem to think its an acceptable substitute to taking a break from playing.
I have two boys and this cracked me up!! So I know now, to let the embarassment ride!
By way of CreoleinDC...
My friend's son did that....HILARIOUS!!!
Ha, ha. I missed this one! It's typical. Boys will be boys I guess. We went to the park last week and I thought Cody was hiding from me behind a tree, but actually he was peeing!
