Incorporating math during baking time with the kids.

DJ and I baked cookies together last night while Gracen napped. We had a cute time together and our cookies turned out fantastic. We followed the recipe from the back of the chocolate chip package and it was a very easy to follow recipe. The optional part of adding chopped nuts was a smart move on our part. My smart idea would be to invent a cookie sheet with the molds already grooved into the sheet to make perfect cookies. As you can see, some of our cookies were all different shapes.  This is a great way to incorporate math learning time with your kids.  Recipes call for a keen eye, measuring and applying concentration skills.
Question:  What other ways do you incorporate learning time with your kids?
