| I am seriously over washing dishes! It's not one of my favorite household duties. Who am I kidding? What household duty is ever fun? Well, I'm sure there's someone out there that just LOVES all things housework. I am NOT one of them. It gets done because I don't like a dirty house but, mark my word, the minute I hit it big, a housekeeper and nanny will be hired! What? You think I'm kidding? NOPE! Not kidding at all. I am seriously considering using paper plates and plastic utensils from now on! Seems like there's always dishes and laundry to be done. I wonder if there's disposable clothes and pots on the market! Don't mind me, I'm just venting! *sigh* |

I agree--I just vented to my husband that I need to get paper plates. I even have a dishwasher and still complain about the amount of plates and cups used daily :)
I HATE dishwashers and I HATE washing dishes. LOL.
As soon as Hannah was old enough (5, 6?) to handle washing some of the simple things like plastic dishes, you better believe I got her up there helping me! She LOVED it! So I told her, great! This is now your chore after lunch. She thought it was so special that she got to wash the plastic cups/bowls, and that left me with the dishwasher and pots after supper. Too bad she ended up with eczema from the dish soap! When we get it under control and get her some rubber gloves, she will be HAPPY to take back her chore! (She also loves to dust, something I can't stand!)
We went 4 years with out a dishwasher, so I am still very happy to load the dishwasher every night! It was really tough with 2 preschoolers and 2 pregnancies and having to do all the dishes myself. Glad we are past that!
There, I'm done too...
Think of it as being theraputic! A time to think about yourself and reflect upon the day!
I hate housework too. It never ends and by the time you take a break you are too tired to engage w/ family. My soln was to stop- the house is clean for the most part (toilets, tubs, dishes, floors, kitchen counter) but I stopped picking up papers, shoes, etc - it does look messy but at least I am part of the family again.
LOL. Whatever it takes to make life a little bit easier. I'm all for paper plates and plastic dinnerware! If you have a local dollar store you can stock up without breaking your bank!
We started buying paper plates months ago but our plan of decreasing the amount of dishwashing that has to be done has failed. There are still A whole lot of dishes on both sides of the sink every day. I hate it. It makes me grumble and say bad words under my breathe all the time.
