I called my 2 year old daughter by her middle name and she said, "no, that's not my name." Note to self, teach your child(ren) their ENTIRE names from the jump to avoid misunderstandings. Needless to say, she knows her full name now. Hah! Kids are funny! At what age did you teach your kids their full names?

My son learned his whole name from the jump because I'd sing his name in a song I made up to put him down every night or to calm him when he cried. He knows his full name. Up until a month or two ago, he would tell people, "I Blaise Ishmael David, I three years old, I'm a boy, I'm not a joke... ".

Now he says when he meets people, "Hi I'm Blaise, I three years old, what is your name?, this is my mommy (pointing to me)". When we leave he says, "nice to meet you".

*ha!* Don't you just love getting "checked" by our little ones?? She's so cute! I think Kali knows her middle name but when anyone asks her name, she just says first and last.

I don't think my comment went through. Anyhow, I sent you an email to the only address I had. You can find me on FB at Ann Adams Merced CA.

My husband and I are both in the profile pic.

Good to hear from you.
