A very dear friend of mine told me it's a sign of disrespect and disregard to be LATE to events. What are YOUR thoughts? Are you always late, early, too early, on time? What's YOUR story? After 10 comments. I will post my thoughts.
While this should be cut and dry I think there are exceptions. Late to a dinner party = disrespectful. Late to a social gathering where most folks arrive after the appointed start time, not so much. However the Time Police that is my dear husband would say tardiness under any circumstances is unacceptable and disrespectful.
I think it is very disrespectful to be late to events or anything for that matter. You show how much you don't care to be there when you are late. Lateness also shows lack of discipline and laziness. Early is the new "on time" in my book. Just my thoughts...
The dear friend I am speaking of is my lovely friend Shelly! She keeps me in check. LOVE HER!!! I am a work in progress and for the record, I was EARLY to her house for Thanksgiving Dinner! #greedy! LOL
I completely agree with Shelly. Being late to anything is one of my biggest pet peeves. People set a time of arrival for a reason, and they themselves have worked hard to make that deadline. They have other things going on in their lives too. They don't have time to be waiting around for others. I am ALWAYS early!! DH hates it, but oh well!!
