Don't talk to strangers.

We were at jcpenney yesterday and this man offered my son a shoe box saying, here, take this and my son went to get it and then stopped.

I swung my head around like the exorcist.  Gave him the "you better not" look.

The man said that's right, never take anything from a stranger and started laughing.

Excuse me?  what's so funny?!? How abut you go have life lessons with someone else.  The man said he was just joking.

I was so annoyed.  When we got in the car.  My son asked me why that man did that.  I asked him what do you think he did?

He said he tried to give me a shoebox!  I said no he was trying to trick you and was probably trying to grab and take you away.  

That's why you don't talk to strangers.  Don't talk to strangers!  He sat there for a second,   Then he starts crying.  *sigh*

How am I always the bad guy?  Lol.  I was just trying to explain the man was a stranger and it's not safe to talk to strangers.  Ugh.  Ok.  Thankfully he was ok and once we talked more about it, he understood!
