I'm trying to convince them to create a blog for baby derrick, until then, i'll post details here:



Greetings everyone.... I took our beloved DJ to the Dr's yesterday for his check up and boy has a lot of things changed (grown) on him. If you can recall just 10 weeks ago he came into this world weighing 6 lbs 11 Oz 21 inches long. Today DJ came in weighing 14 lbs even... He's also 24 inches long. I asked the doctor is he overweight but she reassured me that he is perfect weight. His nickname has been "Ham", but I told Big Derrick that I'm going to start calling him "Turkey" because right now he's the size of one.

The Dr. kept telling me how handsome my son was (of course I was loving every minute of that)... Nurses were even coming in from other rooms to comment on how beautiful my baby was. The Dr. even picked DJ up and gave a big hug and kiss... Now that I'm thinking about it, it was truly a set up.... Let me tell you what came next .....( FOUR (4) NEEDLES) THAT'S WHY THEY WERE BEING SO NICE!!!! DJ went from smiling to horrified in .5 seconds. He didn't know what was going on. He had no place to hide since the Dr. was on the right thigh and the nurse on the left....

There should be some rules about this sort of stuff.... The doctors make him miserable and then they send him home to me to make me miserable ALL NIGHT, because now he's hurting (I'm hurting too).... My poor Prince (Actually he's the King, cause clearly he runs the house now)..... They need to come up with a overnight clinic so that they can watch your irritable child since clearly their the culprits....

I am happy to announce that he's feeling great today... He's been showing off that beautiful smile all morning and I'm loving it....
