I'm really excited to participate. I'm giving away a book that I've found to be helpful with getting my son excited about Bed Time!
I know what you're thinking, a toddler getting excited for Bed? Yes, it's possible.
Sandra Boyton has written a really cute board book: Pajama Time
Your kids will LOVE this cute cute cute book!
Mini Description:
A hippo in yellow PJs and an elephant in a fuzzy one-piece with feet. In sing-along nuttiness reminiscent of Barnyard Dance, it's time to head to bed-to the beat: Pajammy to the left. Pajammy to the right. Jamma jamma jamma jamma P!J! Everybody's wearing them for dancing tonight. Jamma jamma jamma jamma P!J!
I have an extra copy and would like to give it to a lucky winner!
Drawing will be held, Friday, July 27.
My son loves to gives hugs and kisses. He will go around the house offering hugs and kisses to everyone just to keep from going to bed.
Needless to say, we greatly enjoy all the love and it's everyone's responsible for leading him back to his bedroom only to be offered yet one more kiss before lights out!
It's really easy to enter: Please leave a comment with your funniest excuse your kids have given you to avoid going to sleep. Also, please leave your state, I'd love to know where people are from! Good Luck!
Only US residents. Non-bloggers welcome!

i would love to have...
Um, my son is only 7 months old, so he doesn't give too many excuses yet. We have two Sandra Boynton books and really like them both--please sign me up! Thank you.
I love Sandra Boynton books for my daughter, please count us in.
I have wanted this for a long time! Enter me!
I would love to have this. It has been a struggle with my 4 year old every night before bedtime. Please count me in!
I don't think I've seen this one! It sounds great!
It's not "funny" but after we pray for our DD, she will come in our room and say "Oh, I didn't get to pray for you!" She just wants to put off going to bed but we appreciate it!
Yea! My grandson loves this author ... this would be a great gift for his upcoming birthday.
Well, it might have helped if I had signed in the right way ... sorry.
Hello! I have a 2.5 year old daughter that is crying in her room right now because she doesn't want to go to bed! It's already an hour past her bedtime! I need help! Thanks!

my daughter loves books and we always read at night together...we would love a new book
Please add me! I love books!
My daughter's favorite excuse (she's 2) is stalling by giving lots of hugs (we love it!).
My 3 year old would love this book!!!
Awww great prize! Thanks for the giveaway!
I'm pregnant with my first, but I did babysit for a boy last week who told me in all earnestness that his friend Caleb had told him not to go to bed yet. :)
My boys adore this book and our copy is quite tattered, we could use a new copy.
Thankfully we don't have bedtime battle, mainly because he's usually exhausted. However, Connor says goodnight to EVERYTHING and EVERYONE he can think of (shapes, animal, characters, ralatives and friends). Then once I'm ready to put him down, he gives me a kiss for each of his grandparents so I can pass it on to them. I have to say that after a long, tiresome day, it's very rewarding to get 6 good night kisses. Count us in. We love a good book.
Sandra Boynton has been one of my favorite authors for a very long time. Surprisingly, I don't have this book! My little one would LOVE it!
:)
Count me in!!!
I love Sandra's books!!!
Blessings,

Fabulous idea. Please count me in.
My son, now 18, woke one night and went to the bathroom, came out screaming and told me that he couldn't go back to bed because he was afraid the cat in the bathtub would get in his room.???? We had no animals, I'm allergic. So off I went to check out the bathtub with him.
Nothing there.
He finally went back to bed and about an hour later I headed to bed. Come to find out, the "cat" he had seen was actually a possum and it was laying on the floor at the end of my bed.
Getting the thing out of the house is a long, complicated, crazy story that I'll have to share on my blog sometime.
What a great book. Please count me in here in the Carolinas!
I love Sandra Boyton books and this is one that we don't have!

We love Sandra Boynton! The kids really like her Philadelphia Chickens music CD. And Pajama Time is on it. The best excuse we get is almost nightly. Our 2year 7 mon. son gets up and tells us he's poopy. We call him the bedtime pooper. It's kinda funny and almost predictable. Count us in!
Please add me! Thanks!
No need to add me, thanks, but I just had to pop in and say what an adorable little guy you have - he's a doll!
I love Sandra Boynton books. Moo, Baa, Lalala is my favorite one.

I'd love to enter...my nieces just do whatever is necessary to avoid bedtime, especially if one is already asleep (they are twins and they like the one on one of being the last one up). Cut the pickle is a favorite game and they will try and get the tickles going as late in the night as possible!
Thanks,

Enter me, my kids would love this. I'm in Michigan. I really can't think of a funny excuse to get out of bed. We have heard everything though from I'm thirsty, to potty, to headaches, stomach aches, etc. My oldest is full of excuses & my youngest just doesn't care, she just gets out of bed & does what she wants, LOL.
oh I want this. my girls would love it
I don't remember her giving an excuse, but I do remember her praying one night and very subtly inserting, "And please let mommy and daddy let me stay up all night and watch movies. Amen"
We love Boynton books! My son once said that he was too tired to go to bed. He thought that would let him stay up longer!
I am in San Diego!

We really like Sandra Boynton's books; I would love the opportunity to win this one! My little one is only a year old, so no excuses yet. Thanks from TN!
My daughter is 13 months old, so she doesn't talk too much yet to give excuses. She will sometimes throw her stuffed sheep out of her bed and then "claim" she can't sleep without him. Sandra Boynton is wonderful!
We live in Minnesota.

Very cute! Count me in please.
I would LOVE it if my dd wanted to go to bed! She does love to read books.
I love boynton's books and this is one of the few I don't have. Let's see excuses for not going to bed I can't think of anything funny. A common one right now for this season is "it's not dark" BTW I am from Missouri
What a great book! Please count my boys and I in!
There greatest excuse is that they just went to sleep last night, they don't need sleep EVERY night mom! LOL:)
What a fun book!!
amandaacurtis@tx.rr.com
My boys would love this :)
Sandra Boyton is one of our favorite authors. :-)
We have always been very blessed that my daughter will go to bed without excuses. (I think she is like me. She loves to sleep!)
Please count me in!
My son loves books & my daughter will soon so this is great. My son is three and still wants to sleep in our bed so he doesn't fight so much about going to bed as he does which bed he has to go to. He wants to snuggle us and does the usual, I want another blanket, that book, this small toy, more water stuff.
Can't think of any great excuses, but my boys definately put if off as long as possible!
My kiddo is only 1 so I haven't heard too many excuses yet, but he does try to distract me so he doesn't have to go to bed on time.
I'm in Kentucky! :-)
Cute! I'm in!! :)
My favorite excuse was always: "I'm not tired yet" even as they're eyes are drooping shut and they're slumping over :)

My girls LOVE all Sandra Boynton books! We don't have this one, though. It would be super to win it. Maybe I'll get lucky!
Looks like a really cute book - I'd love to be entered for this!
My 13 yr old, honestly, has always gone to bed without any trouble, so never really used excuses. Though sometimes, he has to go get a drink of water or use the bathroom one more time! My 2.5 yr. old has only recently started sleeping in her own bed, and she hasn't started any excuses - yet. I'd love to have this book to read to her though! I'm in GA.
I don't think I've entered yours - if I have, please just delete this comment. :>)

Hi! I'm in Washington state. My kids come down with all sorts of excuses - something broke, they got hurt, they forgot something, they want to read/color/eat.
Bedtime is always a battle. :)
Well nothing really funny that I can recall. Christopher used to say he was thirsty or kept going to pee! We haven't had any problems with him these days but I still have Alyssa who may make things rough for me soon!
I love her books! we only have one, Snuggle puppy but my son has be read it all the time! They would love the pj one! Thanks for offering this for the giveaway!
Hi...I'm from WA state. My granddaughter is here, spending the night with us. She went to bed nicely tonight. But generally she starts crying and keeps getting up to tell us she misses her mommy & daddy. I'd LOVE to read her Pajama Time so please enter me in your drawing:)
My two-year-old princess prolongs bedtime by asking for one more kiss...one more hug...over and over...
