Last minute trips are always the best
After dinner we usually go for a walk. Today we went to the library. I know what you're thinking, why on earth would they take a very excited toddler to a quiet place.
We're crazy. I told you all that before were you not paying attention? HaHa.
Needless to say, he LOVES the colorful keyboards in the kids room at the library.
My son sat next to a little girl who was very content with clicking away and trying not to get annoyed by my son who kept saying hi to her.
DJ: Hi, what's your name
Little girl: Silence. Never once looking away from the computer screen.
DJ: I'm DJ.
Little girl: Silence. Clicking on her colorful picture on the computer screen
DJ: Whatcha doing?
I decided to MOVE him and go and look for some cool books.
Then the little girl comes over and says to me: He wasn't bothering me. I'm 5 and I'm in 1st grade now.
Me: Well, alrighty then. Thank you for the clarification. I guess she told me huh! I almost said, well, why didn't you answer my baby when he was trying to hold a convo with you. I decided against it. You know it would not be a cute sight to see a grown up arguing with a 1st grader. We all know we're NOT smarter than 1st graders now a days! *sigh*
I'm telling you they are getting smarter and smarter aren't they. Of course I had to do the math, 1st grade is age 5 now? WOW. It's been a LONG time since we've sent a kid to 1st grade.

HaHa kids are to funny!!
just wanted to visit your blog since you visited mine.....once I get my computer then I'll be posting more regularly again!
Hey Miss T., long time no see.
This was a cute post. I can just see the little girl being all proud to tell you that she was in first grade and was therefore mature enough to deal with your son.
It was a bit odd though that she would act like he was bothering her and then come tell you later that he was not.
Maybe she felt bad about how she treated him. (btw I have been sans internet for a few days so that is why I have not posted or visited like I used to.)
If I were her mom, I tell you what. Hmmm.
DJ,
This is just the beginning of girl trouble.
DJ is friendly, polite, and well mannered. You've done a great job with him.
LOL! Lawd-a-mercy! I can just imagine what a mouth she'll have in a few years.
Boy do I know the feeling of other children ignoring your child. Kids do it to L.J. all the time. It doesn't seem to faze him at all.
I try to encourage him to go do something else and to continue to be nice to others no matter how they treat him.
And I keep reminding myself God has given this little boy this outgoing personality.
I can't wait to see how He uses our boys to impact the world!
yay! we love that library and were just there on weds. for the preschool story time!!
dj you're the cutest!
Kids are just so damn cute to me.
Haha! So cute. Kids really show us, don't they?
